Things I wish I could say...
The MT at Work- "Really Alyssa... We need to make it to $2,000 by the end of the night or it's my head on the plate."
Me~ "Oh really? Because I would hate for you to get fired. I'll really try and work on getting more people to come in and spend money. Although, I don't know what you'd like me to do about that... Oh wait! Maybe I'll spend another $600.00 here to help our totals, then you'd finally be satisfied with me... oh wait. I forgot. All you care about is how well you cleaned the windows. Well.. Whoop-de-doo!"
The two girls at the post office- "What are you staring at?"
Me~ "I dunno... you? You really are a sight to see all dressed down in your belly shirt and mini skirt. I'm sure that really does it for your girlfriend there. Maybe you should try 8 min. abs. Could do wonders for your relationship. Otherwise BACKOFF sister before I rip that earring out of your nose!!"
Ornery customer at work- "Are you kidding me? Seriously? You expect me to sit here and be rational about such an idiotic rule?"
Me~ "You tell me where you can return clothes after you've taken the tags off, worn them, and then washed them, and then you can raise your voice at me. Until then, I don't care if it's got a hole in it. I can't do anything about it. So before you get all up in my grill... simmer down a bit and take a look around. The world isn't ending so CHILL OUT!"
Man in truck: "Wow... "
Me~ "Seriously? Do you think you could be a little more patient? I'm trying my best to hurry and I'd thank you if you could just roll your window up and stop saying intimidating words like "Wow" to little girls like me just because you think you're all cool in your big 'ol truck. Next time, take a Prozac and think about someone else for a change. We're not all running on YOUR schedule. Oh wait! I forgot... this is YOUR world! Silly me..."
Ok, so really, I don't have it that bad. And looking back most of these situations are funny. But seriously...how much easier would life be if I could take it out on the actual people in said situations instead of venting about it on my blog? It gets all built up inside of me and then all I wanna do is explode on someone (Which ends up being my brothers... :/). All well. Until I can actually get some guts, I will continue to be the 'nice girl' for the sake of my safety... and sanity... ;}

New Plan
Well... It seems there's no better way to inform everyone of the new direction my life is taking then on my blog.
The plan used to be that I was going to go to BYU-Idaho in January attending on the Winter-Spring Track and getting my generals done. I was supposed to be getting a full-time job in the mean-time so that I could pay for this.
After much consideration, and serious prayer, my plans have changed.
No full-time job has opened up, and it seems that I won't have sufficient funds to make it. To be honest, the only reason I was going to BYU-I was because I thought it was the one school I could afford.
When it came down to it, I knew in my heart and in my mind that it never truly felt right.
Which leads me to the decision that I feel has lifted stress off my shoulders and given me a new enthusiasm for the direction my life is leading me.
I have decided to attend the DATC (Davis Applied Technology College) to certify in Phlebotomy. The course is only 4 months long at $135 a month. This will serve as a temporary full-time position and a wonderful skill to fall back on when I do go to school. Which will be next fall in 2010 to Utah State University to study Music Therapy. I can work as a phlebotomist to get me through school, and save up money until next year.
My mind finally fills clear of frustration and confusion and it seems as if there is no longer a burden on my shoulders. Considering those circumstances, I hope that those of you that this effects (Anastasia :D ) will understand why the decision has been changed and know that you were not forgotten during this process.
Many thanks to my supportive parents who helped me to realize what I wanted, and gave me the opportunity to pursue it. Love!!!!

18 Beliefs
I don't know why but I feel like explaining the things that I strongly believe in. Not just my religious beliefs even though those are obviously very important to me. These are my beliefs, that are almost goals for myself. They are the things that I wish to make habits in my life. It's not a bad thing to look at your life and decide to make goals that will only help you in achieving something better for yourself. I'm not trying to say that I'm not incredibly blessed, but there is so much out there to learn, experiences to gain, and little blessings to appreciate that will help me to grow. These are things that through my short 18 years of existence, I feel are important qualities/habits for everyone to gain.
So I've decided (since I have nothing else exciting to blog about) to list 18 beliefs of mine (one for every year I've lived).
(These are in no particular order).
1. I believe that serving others can bring you the most happiness in life.
2. I believe you will never be truly satisfied in life unless you can find contentment in any situation no matter the circumstances.
3. I believe that God will give you the strength to get through anything.
4. I believe you will never be happy with the one you love until you’re happy with yourself.
5. I believe that patience is a virtue and you should be grateful for opportunities to practice patience or else it will all come and go too quickly.
6. I believe you should never underestimate the power of a smile.
7. I believe that there’s nothing better than taking a moment to watch the lightning.
8. I believe that no one is alone.
9. I believe that you should always be quick to admit when you’re wrong.
10. I believe that you should always appreciate what you have. You never know what you have until it’s missing from your life.
11. I believe that the only thing anyone needs is for one person to notice them and let them know they’re worth it.
12. I believe there will always be something to look forward to. Only you can decide to look towards the positive or the negative.
13. I believe that no person should settle for ‘average’.
14. I believe you should never sacrifice what you have to get what you want.
15. I believe we should always give without expecting something in return.
16. I believe there are times when a seed is planted and it can grow and accomplish far more than we could ever imagine.
17. I believe that everything happens for a reason.
18. I believe that songs that come from the heart can touch people in ways words can't even begin to express.
Ok, Ok, so I'm not perfect. Half of these beliefs I haven't even begun to practice, but they're important to me. I know, I know, I am so "wise" for an 18 yr. old. Bah ha ha. This was kinda fun though. I sure does put things into perspective for me. Hope others can enjoy it as well.
