Honeymoonin'!

Bruce and I went to Salt Lake, St. George, and Zion's National Park for our Honeymoon.

The first thing we did after our wedding day was go to the CAR WASH!!! Our car was absolutely disgusting!! First of all... it was all wrapped up in paper... White Paper around the whole car. UNDERNEATH that paper, was more crate paper tied onto everything imaginable. They licked gummy bears and stuck them onto the windows and put the cream side of Oreo's down on every other empty spot. They wrote all over the windows and taped balloons all over as well. There wasn't a picture of the finished product, which quite frankly infuriated Bruce after he had spent the whole day before our wedding making it spotless for our road trippin' Honeymoon. We luckily hid the keys well enough that they couldn't get inside so they trashed the outside. This is the car...

And these are the culprits... Although... not ALL of the culprits... ;)

As soon as we left the reception center we pulled into a Car Wash around the corner just so that we could see outside our front windshield. Unfortunately all that did was cake on the Oreo's and smear the Gummy Bears around a little. We were satisfied enough to make the drive to Salt Lake and worry about it in the morning. When we got outside the next day, the Gummy Bears' insides had melted down the windows and the Oreo's were now BAKED onto our car thanks to the bright and shiny sun! We went to the car wash again and this is Bruce trying to manually wash all the gunk off our car.

We made our way to St. George and decided to make a stop at the St. George temple. Neither of us had brought nice enough Sunday clothes to be appropriate for the temple, so we didn't get to do a session, but we did have our reception clothes so we took a walk around the grounds.

We went to Tuacahn to see The Little Mermaid, and the weather was absolutely beautiful, until the wind started to blow intensely. We were watching a pre-show and the main girl was wearing a dress and her skirt kept blowing up for the whole audience to see and her hair wouldn't stay out of her face. I felt really bad for her trying to dance and sing and hold her skirt down at the same time. It was quite entertaining though. The only picture we got there was of us in the wind!

After a day and a half in St. George we headed for our final destination, Zion's National Park. We swam, and hiked, and enjoyed the 100+ degree weather. Unfortunately we weren't able to hike the Narrows because the water level was too high. I actually was disappointed by this after I saw just how beautiful everything was down there!! We were able to go on a couple other hikes though and enjoy the river! We hiked what's called the Emerald Pools, which were absolutely gorgeous! I would love to go do the Zion's experience all over again!

Yes... I am aware that my Husband is a crazy man...

  1. So, how did you take that last picture? Tricky tricky. I think you should write about what Bruce thought of the Tuacahn show. I mean, I know he liked it, but he was pretty funny about the whole thing.

  2. I ADORE Zion's. So much! I'm so happy that you two went there on your honeymoon. :)

You two are so great. We both live in Logan...and everyday I hope to run into one of you two by coincidence. No joke!

What's your schedule like chica? Let's do a couple's dinner!
